The soul of ROBLE Fragrance Lab has roots in two distinct locations in Chile.
The brand itself is an ode to the magnificent nothofagus obliqua forests of Chilean Patagonia, whose towering canopies inspire a focus on unique scents, aromas and parfums. Our philosophy of simplicity and sincerity was further inspired by an unexpected visit to a fragrance boutique in Santiago's Barrio Italia that stood out for its modern, spare elegance.
We believe the most memorable fragrances come from an honest expression of genuine, natural notes. Twice a year we introduce four Essential Formulas, each of which follows a disciplined, creative framework: one world city defined by several of its most memorable botanical elements. Grounding each fragrance in a specific geography, we explore the intersection of place and nature through a focused, modern lens. For those who prefer a more personalized experience, we offer the opportunity to create custom scents with our assistance.
Chile’s indigenous Mapuche people refer to nothofagus obliqua as koyam, hualle or pellín. When Spanish conquistadores arrived in what is now Chile in the early 16th century, they mistakenly referred to nothofagus obliqua as ‘roble,’ or oak, thinking these majestic beech trees resembled oaks they had known in Spain. Despite this case of mistaken identity, Spanish-speakers in Chile refer to nothofagus obliqua as roble to this day.
ROBLE Fragrance Lab was founded in 2025 and is based in Royal Oak, Michigan, United States.
